The LCP utilizes a double-action only, hammer-fired mechanism, with the hammer recessed into the rear of the slide to prevent snagging. The double-action only firing mode makes it simple to use in stressed situations—no levers or switches to remember—just point and shoot. The LCP features low profile front and rear sights integrated onto the slide that do not snag on clothing when pistol is drawn from a concealed position, and all sharp edges have been eliminated on the LCP to aid in concealment and to reduce wear on clothing. This LCP model features an alloy steel slide with a blued finish. Right-handed shooters can comfortably reach the magazine release on the LCP with their thumb, while left-handed shooters have no problem using their trigger finger. The mag release pushes in easily, but not so easily that the magazine pops out unexpectedly. Unlike many small semi-automatic pistols that operate with a blowback action, the Ruger LCP operates on a locked-breech system, which mitigates recoil and does not necessitate the user to pull the slide back against an excessively heavy recoil spring during loading. Federal Firearms Laws prevent us from shipping firearms directly to you. Instead, we ship any firearm purchased on our site to a Federal Firearms Licensed (FFL) Dealer in your area.

Here’s how it works:

• Make your purchase online, ensuring you are following all state and local laws. For a listing of these laws, please visit the following link: Gun Laws.

• Find an FFL dealer in your area that will accept the transfer of your firearm. Most dealers, which include sporting goods stores, pawn shops, gunsmiths and gun stores, are willing to do this for a nominal fee. If you have a dealer in mind, please enter their name and telephone number at checkout. You can find a list of dealers by zip code here.

• Ask your dealer to email us a copy of their valid and signed FFL form. Emailed copies must be sent to sales@bradleybarter.com.

• IMPORTANT: Please make sure your dealer includes your order number and name with the email. 

• You must be at least 21 years of age to purchase a handgun, stockless shotgun, complete AR or AK receiver, or stripped lower receiver. You must also be a legal resident of the state in which you wish to transfer the firearm

• Once we have received the FFL, we will ship your order to your dealer and you will receive a confirmation of shipment via email.

• Once your dealer receives your firearm, they will contact you and you can complete all the necessary paperwork and pick up your firearm.

Store Pick-up:

In the Cleveland, TN area? You can pick your purchase up at our Retail Store. Simply select Store Pick-up under Shipping method at checkout. Your item will be available for pickup immediately.

A background check will be completed in person through the TBI, There is a $10.00 fee (Please bring valid ID). Once the background check is approved, you are free to take your firearm home!
