As I ventured through my granddad's dusty attic, I stumbled upon something spherical, heavy, and rusty. A 10lbs cannonball? Did my granddad run a pirate ship I didn't know about? Perhaps we have a lineage filled with cannon-balling ancestors, known for having the arm strength of Hercules, launching 10lbs balls of iron at adversaries. Or more amusingly, maybe Granddad just had a fetish for retro bowling. Regardless, I couldn't help but think how this would make fetching the newspaper at the end of the driveway more interesting. I'd just need some helmsman skills, good aim, and hope I won’t accidentally turn Mrs. Brown's favorite begonias into a botanical Armageddon. Or perhaps I could give it to my fitness crazy wife as her new exercise ball - she would love the challenge! One thing’s for sure, waving this cannonball around at the next family reunion will surely make my stories more explosive...and a teensy bit more authentic!
